Why get Pet Insurance?
January 12th, 2010 by Sarah. No Comments »Well it seems to be a perfectly reasonable question i suppose, and one that i am sure plenty of people have asked in the past. Why indeed get pet insurance? You might be thinking to yourself that the little puppy you got at Christmas time is as fit as a fiddle, and you’d be right. However…
the puppy will not always stay a puppy will it? And it’s inevitable that dogs are going to get old isn’t it? I know what happens to humans when they get old. They get ill, and getting ill gets expensive. Why should it be any different for your pet? It shouldn’t, and the price of vet bills is starting to go through the roof! If anyone has visited the vet recently they’ll know this to be true. My dog had to have some teeth out a while ago and it cost me a small fortune at the dentist. Now of course i know a little better!
Since that day i took out pet insurance and i’m glad i did. And even though my dog hasn’t needed any medical treatment yet, i’m sure that something will come along to throw a spanner in the works. And besides all that, you could pretty much guarantee when you don’t have insurance, something is bound to happen isn’t it? It’s just the way of the world.
So if you want to take care of your pet, as well as taking care of your wallet you should seriously consider taking out some pet insurance; you never know when you’re going to need it!
