Virgin Pet Insurance Review

Virgin pet insurance policies are affordable. The premiums are cheaper than some of the other insurance policies.

We reviewed some of the good points; now let’s consider some of the bad points. According to online sources, Virgin’s comprehensive plans cover reimbursements only if your cat is killed because of a road accident, or if your pet is missing or stolen. Virgin does not pay for your animal’s death if the death results from disease.

About Virgin pet Insurance

Virgin is listed as Virgin Money who recently started offering pet insurance. The company claims to offer a large selection of cover and value for their consumers’ money. They seem to offer three levels of pet coverage for dogs and cats, which they claim cover accidental injury, accidents, and illness. The company claims to offer cover to your pet up to one year from the beginning of your pet’s treatment or accident and illness. Virgin claims to cover the pet monetary limits of its conditions, yet at no set time limit.

According to some of Virgin’s x-consumers, the company will not cover a pet that dies from an illness. This means that if your animal has a preexisting illness that causes its death, then you will not get reimbursement.

It may be wise to search the Internet to find policies that give your pet total cover. If you pet accidentally dies for no apparent cause, Virgin may not cover your animal, especially if they claim a disease cost the pet’s life.

Payments

According to one review online, Virgin’s web site failed when the party attempted to take out three policies. The party was forced to call the company in which Virgin deducted money from the person’s bank account, deducting up to six payments for 6 policies. A dispute was issued in which Virgin cancelled three of the policies.

Virgin’s web site

Virgin’s web site is a basic site in which it doesn’t appear as though the company put much effort into designing the site. It is easy to navigate through, yet it lacks in professionalism.

Contact information

Virgin provides their customers easy access to a contact page, which shows some professionalism. There is an online contact form available. Several e-mail addresses are offered for support.

Interesting perks

After reviewing hundreds of pet insurance companies and policies, we find it interesting that Virgin does offer links to pet cover for rabbits. We own an American Grand Champion Black Dutch Rabbit in which we adore. At this point, we have not seen other insurance companies offer pet insurance for rabbits. Virgin links you to Petplan from the UK who offers cover for rabbits.

Conclusion

It seems Virgin Money offers pet insurance in which the company recently began its policies. There are some apparent faults in their system, which needs to be worked out. If you are looking for pet insurance we recommend that you look around and compare pricing, policies, terms, conditions, and other details about the plans you are interested in purchasing.
