When i consider the word cheap, particularly in this context i conjure the idea of poor quality and something that appears to be value for money but when you try it you find out that it is literally just cheap. The really cheap things in life are usually not built to last, or indeed do what they claim to do, and this is no different in the world of insurance; including pet insurance.
There are many “cheap” pet insurance companies out there who will be very quick to take your money but not so quick to pay out your insurance when you need it in an emergency. This is why i go for “low cost” pet insurance. To me, “low cost” doesn’t make me think that i won’t get what i need. It makes me think that i’ll get all i need at a low cost to me; and that is what you need when you buy any type of insurance, never mind just low cost pet insurance.
This is why it’s very important to shop around, even when you’ve found the cheapest insurance on the market. You need to make sure that they are what they say they are, and thay when you need them they will be there with the money you’ve been paying them. Your pet is no less important to you than any other member of your family so make sure you care for it properly!
